Description

This study focuses on a detailed investigation of the material behavior of rubber blends composed of natural rubber (NR) and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) within the frequency domain. The goal is to analyze the specific properties of these blends to understand the significance of the phase transition between the individual phases of the two components. Due to the immiscibility of the two components, separate phases form at microscale. A key characteristic of these NR-SBR blends is that the rubber phases are not strictly segregated. Instead, an interphase exists where the polymer chains of NR and SBR overlap. This interphase significantly influences the mechanical behavior of elastomer blends. Previous considerations were based on simplified assumptions about the material distribution within the interphase. Using a basic modeling approach involving linear interpolation with a phase parameter.
