Description

Fritz Noether, Emmy Noether's younger brother, was a German mathematician who contributed in particular to the development of a new scientific discipline, applied mathematics. He worked as a professor at the Technische Hochschule Breslau and the State University of Tomsk, which brought him into conflict with two dictatorships. His tragic death can help us to better understand current political problems. At the same time, as a doctoral supervisor, he ensured that the ZAMM journal had an excellent editor-in-chief for may years.
