Description

Diabetes is rapidly emerging as a global epidemic, posing a significant threat to public health. Modeling the spread and management of diabetes is crucial for monitoring its growing prevalence and developing cost-effective strategies to mitigate its incidence and complications. This paper presents a fractional order nonlinear model for diabetes mellitus that incorporates the cumulative effect of media-driven diabetes awareness and education programs. The model is analyzed using a two-step Newtonian polynomial approach with the Caputo derivative. Key aspects such as equilibrium points, stability, and the existence and uniqueness of solutions are examined to ensure the robustness of the model. The obtained results are validated against previously published findings. Graphical and numerical results are obtained for different values of the fractional order. This research provides valuable insights for predicting disease trends and planning effective clinical management for diabetes patients.
