Description
We investigate the dynamics of two immiscible viscous fluids in a two-dimensional domain, governed by the Stokes-transport system. Our focus lies on the evolution of the free interface separating the fluids. Using a contour dynamics approach, we derive a nonlinear, nonlocal equation for the free boundary and exploit it to study the stability and long-time behavior of the system. This work is in collaboration with F. Gancedo and R. Granero-Belinchón.
