Description
The paper presents experimental methods for determining the fatigue characteristics of various materials. Basic fatigue characteristics are obtained under tension-compression loads. However, few structures work in this system. More often we are dealing with some form of bending. In this case, we are also dealing with variable normal stresses. However, these characteristics are not the same. Fatigue tests should reflect the performance of the structure. Therefore, such tests can be implemented as two-point bending (buckling-like), bending with restraint, and rotational bending. This work presents a new three-point bending station. The station's operation was verified based on fatigue tests of rubber belts used on conveyors. An analogous position can be proposed for four-point bending.
